For each status update, you can choose to include a video to display on a social media post.

The Video Type option is available in the following Plugin versions, available Friday 28th August 2026 23:59 UTC:
– WordPress to Buffer Pro 6.2.5 and higher
To do this, add or edit a status, and select the Video option from the Type dropdown:
The following Video section will then be displayed in the Status Editor:

To define which video to attach to the social media post, choose from the following options:
- Media Library: Use the video specified in the “WordPress to Buffer Pro: Media” metabox in the Post/Page editor:
- URL: Use the specified video URL.
- Custom Tags are supported – for example, you may wish to specify your video in a Post’s custom meta field, and reference that here.
