Prerequisites
- Oxygen 3.0 or higher
Setup
Before using Oxygen Builder in your Content Group, you’ll need to:
- Navigate to Oxygen > Settings > Security
- Either:
- Disable Oxygen’s shortcode signature validation (one time), or
- Sign all Oxygen Shortcodes (after each generation batch completes).
- Navigate to Page Generator Pro > Settings > Generate
- Either:
- Disable Use Performance Addon setting.
- Enable Use Performance Addon setting, and enable / tick Oxygen in the Performance Addon: Load Plugins setting.
Add a Content Group
To add a new Content Group to Page Generator Pro, click the Add New button below the Content Groups title, which can be found towards the top of the screen:
You will then be presented with a screen similar to the one used to edit your WordPress Posts and Pages:

It’s recommended that you first:
- Define the Title,
- Setup the Content Group settings, by referring to the Generate: Content Documentation.
- Click Save
Once saved, click the Edit with Oxygen button:
Edit a Content Group
To edit an existing Content Group in Page Generator Pro, click the Title of the Group that you want to edit:
Click the Edit with Oxygen button:
Templates and Re-usable Parts
Oxygen’s Templates and Re-usable Parts give you full control over content, layout and specific sections. Due to the nature of how these work in Oxygen, editing these in one place will instantly update them in all other places they exist across your site.
With this in mind, you can’t edit Templates or Re-usable Parts in a Content Group, without those edits affecting other places that use those Templates or Re-usable Parts. Therefore, Templates and Re-usable Parts don’t support Keywords, Spintax, Dynamic Elements.
You may define a Template within the Content Group’s Oxygen Render Page Using Template setting, but that template must contain an inner content element. The Content Group, and Page Generator Pro, can only control that inner content element.
Dynamic Elements
Oxygen Builder’s Rich Text Module uses the Classic Editor / TinyMCE, therefore allowing you to build each Dynamic Element’s shortcode using the UI:

Common Issues
Shortcodes not rendering
No content is generated
Follow the Setup section of this document.
Oxygen Builder loads Home Page
- Navigate to Settings > Permalinks
- Click Save Changes
Styles are incorrect or missing
Regenerate Oxygen’s CSS cache:
- Navigate to Oxygen > Settings
- Click the CSS Cache tab
- Tick the Post Type(s) to regenerate (for example, if styles are not applied to generated Pages, select Pages)
- Click Go to Regeneration Page
- Click Start regeneration
